Google Lining Experienced Executives Like Shaun Stewart for its Self-Driving Cars Subsidiary

In recent news, the tech giant Google has hired Shaun Stewart as Director of Google’s self-driving car project. Stewart was the former head of Airbnb, an online marketplace that enables people to list, find and rent vacation homes for a processing fee.
Google’s Hiring Plan
Google’s self-driving technology has been under development for over seven years. With the project nearing completion, the company welcomed Shaun Stewart to join efforts with Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik, the self-driving car unit’s CEO.
Bringing different talents to the team, Krafcik and Stewart’s partnership is sure to bring a stir with Stewart’s commercializing experience on one end to Krafcik bringing his expertise of the consumer car market.
Stewart’s Capabilities
Prior to heading Airbnb, Shaun Stewart was CEO at TripAdvisor. Stewart’s entire career has essentially been spent in the hospitality industry, which makes him a smart pick for Google’s latest hype, commercialization of self-driving technology. As per Google’s hopes, Stewart will aid the company in commercializing its self-driving tech successfully along with adding insight from the short-term hospitality rental industry.
