Google to Withdraw Device Assist App from Nexus Handsets

An Unexpected Step by Google!

Google is killing the Device Assist app that it had commenced last year to provide the troubleshooting tips on Android One devices and Nexus. Users are being informed about the removal of the app by a “detected issue” card that will direct them to the Google’s online tips site. Moreover, the app is not exhibited in Play Store searches anymore.

Detailed Information

The removal of device assist app means that tools such as settings for the battery saving, speed tests, and live tech support are departing in favor of the website with some tips and tricks. Affected people with Google Play Edition, Nexus handsets or Android One will identify a “detected issue” card within their app, with a Google Support link whenever they attempt to use the app.
