Oracle buys Israeli startup Ravello Systems

The Oracle Corporation, which is a United States based IT corporation that specializes in database technology. It was co-founded by Larry Ellison who currently serves as CEO of the multinational company.

Oracle has purchased Israeli company Ravello systems. Ravello systems helps run hypervisors in the cloud and provides a multi tier environment for the same.

Post this acquisition, the Ravello systems team will function as the Oracle Public Cloud (OPC) organization and their products will form a part of the same.

” Oracle Cloud offers best-in-class services across a full suite of products in software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS). Ravello will join in Oracle’s IaaS mission to allow customers to run any type of workload in the cloud, accelerating Oracle’s ability to help customers quickly and simply move complex applications to the cloud without costly and time-consuming application rewrites. ”

said the CEO of Ravello Systems, Rami Tamir.
