Online Foodcourt App Startup Unites Lightning Lab Auckland Programme

Brothers  Reza and Ehsan Yaghoubi are in for rapid  growth since the last four months, as they create scope to participate in Lightning Lab’s Auckland business acceleration programme. The brothers will unite with nine other teams in the programme, which will start on March 17, and would receive mentoring $ 20,000 in seed funding along with the chance to pitch to more than 200 angel financiers for additional funding.

Online Foodcourt was founded by Reza and Ehsan after being unsatisfied with the takeaway options and create a web and mobile app in helping to provide a better customer experience. Presently. after being tested in Hamilton, the app serves hungry customers to order from several food outlets and getting those served all at the same time.

“It gives you a foodcourt feeling. Like you and your family or friends go to the food court, everyone can go and order something for themselves and they can come to a table and eat together,” Reza said.

He said the main moto was to simpler to order good quality food. “People compromise quality and taste to get foodfast. We want to change this,” Ehsan said they have food outlets like Flying Burrito Brothers, Bruce Lee Sushi and a healthy food café Real Good Food signed up, presently about 200 customers are using this app. They desired to launch the service and diversify to other parts of the country, especially Auckland, through the Lightning Lab programme. “We had a huge response from the startup community which I personally think is testament to the success and reception of our 2015 programme”.
