LeEco To Accrue Smartphones in India

LeEco, Chinese handset maker will convene its smartphones, Le2 in India by investing Rs.50 crore in the facility. In partnership with the Compal Electronics, the facility has an inceptive capacity of 60,000 units a month in Greater Noida. This will be raised up to 2,00,000 by December end and will provide employment to almost 200 people.

As per the reports, LeEco COO, Atul Jain stated that the facility will endow LeEco with 6-8 per cent cost benefit. LeEco and Compal has a similar partnership for its facility in China. India gained investment from the 37 mobile manufacturing firms in last one year that have produced 40,000 direct and 1.25 lakh indirect jobs. These comprise likes of Vivo, Xiaomi, Gionee, Lava, Micromax, Karbonn, Intex, iTel, MTech, and Jivi. The partnership of LeEco with Compal is not exclusive also both partners can work with other players.
