What is Clever Kash?
In 21st Century everything is becoming digitalised from shopping, booking to even money transactions. Nowadays everyone is using digital payment, e-vouchers. So why not teach our future generation digital payment from their childhood itself. ASB, New Zealand’s Bank, has a come up with Clever Kash, a digital piggy bank, which can teach about digital money to our kids.
About the device
James Bergin, chief architect at ASB bank, has designed the device as an adorable piggy bank that kids would find very user-friendly. It appears to be a stout yellow elephant that can easily connect with the mobile app and kids can learn the worth of saving money. The best part of this device is we can’t break it open like old piggy banks. Maybe that’s the idea.
How does it work?
The device is linked with ASB bank account and there is a small screen in the tummy of the elephant toy that displays the amount of money saved and also gives real-time updates on how close they are to their targeted saving goal. The device has been developed by ASB Bank in collaboration with Saatchi & Saatchi and it is also Bluetooth-enabled, which makes it easier for parents to add cash in the piggy bank by just swiping.
