Instagram recently introduces a new feature; Instagram Stories that allow users to share all their precious moments of the day with their loved ones not only by photos but through videos also. Now shared photos and videos will appear in a slideshow layout together under ‘your story’ option. Previously, it was only the profile picture that a user can share.

The actual idea behind Instagram Stories is to avoid over posting, that means the photos and videos get saved in users in-feed or profile grid only for 24 hours after that they will disappear. Meanwhile, the user can add more creativity to their photos and videos with text and draw tools.

Additionally, if a user wants to check the latest post of the people he follows or some other favorite popular accounts, he can easily see it at the top of his feed. Whenever, there is a new post update from them, a colorful ring appears around their profile photo. Users can easily check someone’s story at their own pace, just by tapping on their profile photo. By simple tapping, users can go forward or back and by simple swiping users can jump to another person’s story. Also for commenting on someone’s post, the user can send a secret message on Instagram Direct to that person. There are no likes or public comments, nothing like regular posts.

Users can customize the privacy settings of their story section according to his requirements. In case, if the user wants their story section to be visible only to their followers, then they should set their account to private. However, users can easily hide their entire story from others, they don’t want to see it, even if they follow them. While watching their own story, users can swipe up to see who is checking out their videos and photos. Maybe, users want to feature a particular part of their story they can easily post it on their profile.
