For meat lovers, waving a goodbye to chicken is a little difficult. A part of the IndieGogo campaign, an Israeli startup called ‘Supermeat’ comes up with a well-advanced technology that makes the meat using a small chicken tissue in the laboratory, which is a cruelty-free solution for non-vegetarians. A small tissue sample would be collected without harming the chicken. The tissues will be grown and replicated in a unique environment for mass production. The environment is designed to perfectly mimic animal physiology. Ultimately, the small tissues will form large muscles. As per the startup, the meat would be humane and eco-friendly.

Healthy Meat

Supermeat is a ‘cultured meat’ that has proved to be healthier than the original meat. Moreover, it helps in fighting world hunger. The startup aims at putting an end to animal suffering as well as promoting healthier meat. It lowers carbon emissions and increases food safety across the world.

The products are expected to cost just $5 per pound, which is cheaper as compared to the real meat. Till now, the startup has raised a funding of more than $122,000.
