A Move To Return Stronger
Bite Club is an online marketplace for chef-prepared meals. Recently, this Gurgaon-based startup announced that it has temporarily put their operations on halt.
The reason provided by them was a clear one. They said that while scaling up their business, they faced certain problems repeatedly. This forced them to take a step back, resolve all the problems and then start with the operations again. The company says that it hopes to return stronger.
About Bite Club
Founded in the year 2014 by Mr. Prateek Aggarwal, Mr. Aushim Krishan and Mr.Siddharth Sharma, Bite Club was a marketplace to connect chefs and consumers. This startup had a menu differing each day, cooked by a team of home chefs, amateur chefs, and professional chefs. And customers could via their mobile or the webpage. This app is available on App Store as well as on the Google Play Store.
The Recent -Past Of Bite Club
Bite Club has impressed various investors in the past. Because of that, it had received a good amount of funding. The last fundraising made by this startup was in the month of December 2015. It received an undisclosed amount in Pre-Series A funding-round. And the investors who funded them were growX ventures, The Phoenix Fund via Enablers, and Powai Lake Ventures.
The recent announcement made by the startup makes us eager to wait for BiteClub’s exciting come-back. This year the market was choppy, which made it difficult for the sustenance of food-tech startups. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and give Bite Club our well wishes.
