Gurgaon-based Startup Aims at Providing Accurate Shipping & Delivery Updates

No More Hassles with Tracking Your Order

Gurgaon-based startup, Shipway is working towards making shipping and delivery updates more efficient. Shipway is a multi-courier tracking platform that aims at improving the customer experience with e-commerce websites. Founded by Gaurav Gupta and Vikas Garg, it is a bootstrap startup.

The Problem

Most of the times, customers send in queries pertaining to the whereabouts of their order, status of orders, and delivery date. This happens because e-commerce websites fail to deliver accurate information. But it is not their fault exactly. Most of the courier services in India don’t provide tracking APIs. This is because providing APIs involve a lot of effort in integrating them with e-commerce platforms. Also, tying up with courier services is a process in itself. This leads to a lot misplaced orders and delivery returns, thus adding up to the cost.

Shipway’s Current Operations

Shipway is working on a subscription-based model. It provides a plug-in for e-commerce websites like Woocommerce, Shopify, ebay, Magento, and Opencart, thus making the integration part simpler. By using the plug-in, the customers can receive live information about their order’s movement and delivery date. The startup has a team of 15 right now and plans to make their products more powerful.

Growth

Shipway is planning to raise $500,000 to scale up its operations. The founders also estimate that the current number of store owners using their products, which is 3000, will rise to 10,000 in coming months. They are also boosting the platform’s capability by adding features like Order Reviews and other premium services.
