Maharashta Government to support startup ecosystem

Ever since the year began, the startup entrepreneurs have been showered with good news from both the government side, and also from the part of the investors. With new startup policies, fund series, and many other facilities, the startup culture is at its peak in India today. One such positive initiative has come up from the side of the Maharashtra government that has promised to provide all the possible help to the young entrepreneurs of the state. The government is trying to develop an ecosystem that will boost the growth of all startups. The chief minister DevendraFadnavssi has declared that the government is going to provide ample support for the growth of new ideas and innovations in the country. “Innovation in startups should be encouraged. We have lacked in creating the ecosystem, and now we need to create that. For startups, we need to do the hand-holding, mentoring and financing and marketing. In a country like India we cannot anymore look at the growth trajectory the way we used to in the past,”” said the chief minister.

The Maharashtra State Innovation Council will come up with new innovative ideas and will be backed by the government. The government expects to have an explosion of innovation by creating an ecosystem. The government is very proactive and enthusiastic about its startup goals this year. The government has identified and acknowledged the potential of young minds who come up with their million dollar ideas. Their aim is to create the most supporting atmosphere for entrepreneurship where they will be backed financially and also legally. More startups mean more career opportunities for people. This will, in turn, help in the betterment of the society.

The role of the state government

The state government is coming up with a whole set of policies and implementations with the aim of developing the startup culture in the state. Considering the rate at which startups are getting successful, and some even posing threat to large multi-national companies, startup ecosystem can be a great initiative to grow the secondary sector in the country. There will be a massive development in the economy if both production and also service is met within the country, and not just as a hub to outsource service sector jobs from developed nations. The idea is to come up with a unique ecosystem plan, and not just replicating others.

Maharashtra Minister of State for Planning said that they would do the best to attend to the concerns of the common people, and how a solution can be proposed using technology.  The key lies in not copying the ideas of foreign companies, but customize the needs accordingly, and solve it using technology.  However, the government will play a crucial role in identifying the needs and analysis. A large scale innovation cannot be thought in isolation or exclusively give the responsibilities to the hands of the industries.  The government will study, examine and evaluate the relevance of the product and then will support the idea.  The government has identified the possibilities of these small companies and how they can make a large impact on India economy.
