Nosocom Comes Up With A Disinfectant Apron

Nosocom Solutions, a startup based out of California has come up with a new product called DCab which is meant to disinfect aprons used in hospitals. Hospitals need the utmost hygiene and care must be taken to keep the surroundings disinfected. Especially for surgeons and staff dealing with highly sensitive departments like palliative care, it is important to make sure each and every thing is germ free. Thus the company has come up with a disinfectant product to prevent Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) in hospitals and health care centers. This can be used by radiation oncologists, cardiac surgeons as the apron also serves the purpose of protecting the surgeons from radiation. This has been a joint venture of Nosocom Solutions and Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research.
Advantages of DCab
The specialty of the product is in its rarity. There are few startups that focus on the health and hygiene of hospitals. DCab is very user-friendly and surgeons and nurses will not face any kind of discomfort while using them.
The product is one of the first of its kind and we felt it necessary to launch in India first. DCab has exhibited 95% to 100% rate of disinfection in 15 minutes when tested on lead aprons and white coats used at catheterization labs, intensive care units (ICUs), and pathology labs.” said NareshSunkara, the CEO of Nosocom Solutions.
DCab was launched by the director, Dr C N Manjunath at Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research.
