FreeCharge partners up with IFC

FreeCharge, one of India’s fastest growing digital paymentplatforms has partnered with International Finance Corporation (IFC) to help more women entrepreneur. IFC is a member of World Bank Group and with this collaboration it will aid women entrepreneur sell their products on Snapdeal. Moreover it will encourage start-ups and early-stage women entrepreneurs to connect the ecommerce platform for the first time. This partnership will work together and ensure to support women entrepreneurship and develop their financial access through technology and digital payments. They will also focus on their non-financial needs with the help of skills and capacity building.

Govind Rajan, CEO of FreeCharge believes to make FreeCharge wallets everywhere in both the online and offline space with various partnerships. Enabling women entrepreneur online, the company wants endorse the digital payments landscape. The partnership with IFC will help FreeCharge to become India’s leading digital payment service since IFC has various global experiences. They also aim to emphasize value of women entrepreneurs.

The main motto of this program is to build up data-driven insights and viable demonstration models so that we can understand the journey of women entrepreneurs on ecommerce platforms in more depth. With this we can also reveal hindering factors from selling online and accepting digital payments. FreeCharge is undoubtedly becoming one of the most preferred digital payment platforms in the country as it has various services on its platforms. It now accepts both online and offline segments. This will enable customers to move from cash to digital payments.
