LinkedIn Signs MoU With HRD Ministry To Create More Jobs For Students

Now LinkedIn’s Placement’s for AICTE colleges affiliated
LinkedIn’s new collaboration with HRD
LinkedIn, a leading global professional network has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry in order to create more job opportunities for Indian students. As part of agreement, LinkedIn’s ‘Placements’ product will be now accepted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) affiliated colleges across India.
How will it help the students?
‘Placements’ is a feature of LinkedIn which helps students to find jobs for all students, irrespective of their location or college and lets them to take online assessment test, which would help them direct entry to thousands of openings in 35 top corporates in India. Akshay Kothari, LinkedIn India Country Manager and Head of Product, believes that ‘Placements’ will help our nation to get best talent for the respected job opportunities regardless of their location. Moreover the company is also excited to work with the HRD ministry and AICTE to help students get greater access to the ‘Placements’ product.

In November 2015, ‘Placements’ was first planned and then in September 2016 LinkedIn was introduced to all college and universities students in India. Within span of two months, more than two lakh students got registered for ‘Placements’ and over 1.2 million job applications were applied.
