Bengaluru-based, Postman, is a startup that is into developing APIs. It has now secured a funding of $7 million in its Series A funding from Nexus Ventures Partners. The startup was founded in 2014 by three young minds AbhinavAsthana, Abhijit Kane, and AnkitSobti.

About the Startup

Postman simplifies the supercharging of your API workflow. It has been an instant hit with the developers and companies alike. According to Co-founder, AbhinavAshtana, the traction their service has received in the market just shows how important it is for the companies. Its extension for Chrome has proved to be the most efficient way of testing, developing and documenting APIs in recent times. A developer can also create a complex set of requests and review them going back in time.

Postman also provides free apps to help developers for Mac and Windows. One can download them from its website. Apart from the freebies, it offers Postman Cloud- a paid product that provides diverse tools for collaborating, testing and documenting API reports.

Facts and Achievements

AbhinavAsthana and Abhijit Kane are both alumnus of the prestigious BITS, Pilani and AnkitSobti, the CTO of Postman, has earlier worked for Yahoo! and Adobe as their Senior Software Engineer. The startup has registered over 3 million installations till date and boasts of having more than 1.5 million active users from a base of 30,000 companies. It has offices in Austin and San Francisco too. The three founders have been featured among the top 45 Indians in the Forbes’ Annual List of Achievers Under the age of 30 in the technology category.
