What is Hanger?                                                    

Where there can be a virtual reality, why can’t there exist a virtual closet too? Actually there exists a startup called Hanger, formerly known as GarbShare. This application helps you manage all the clothes you own, and sometimes you can also loan it to somebody. Moreover it helps you to decide on what to wear and also what clothes you should buy. Hanger also motivates your confidence in your personal style and lets you borrow clothes from your friend’s closets too.

What was the inspiration behind this app?

The idea behind this startup was a closet: how everyone complains that their closet doesn’t have enough clothes. Daniel Evans, founder and CEO of Hanger, noted,”When people can sit with their tablet or laptop and see the entirety of their wardrobe without having to stand in their closet or dig through drawers, amazing things happen – people plan their outfits for the week, they start using more of what they own, they make donations that help others, and they make better decisions about what they buy.”

What can one do with Hanger?

The online platform enables you to track and share clothes and style inspiration within our personal contacts like family and friends. The app connects user’s closets with their friend’s closets and helps them choose using real time data.

The startup was founded in 2015 which is based in St. Louis, MO. One can download the hanger app from the itunes for iOS devices and Google Play Store for Android.
