Presenting A Neuroscience-Based Matrimonial Site, Banihal

Find your perfect match using the perfect tool, Science!

Although, there is a wide range of matrimonial sites we can find online today, what sets Banihal apart is the technology behind its matchmaking service. Founded in 2014, Banihal is based out of Cupertino, CA. The startup uses a neuroscience-based recommendation engine with advanced search technology to make matches. Confused? Read on!

Love meets Science

Is that a turn-off? Well Ishdeep Sawhney, CEO of Banihal definitely doesn’t think so! He says, “It was while I was trying to find my perfect partner that I felt the need to conceive the idea for a service like Banihal. This was when I realized the need for a platform that allows you to assess yourself and your needs in an objective way and helps you decide who the right person for you really is.”

It was this realization of Sawhney that drove him to develop the algorithm on Banihal, which helps young and independent Indians to make one of the most important decisions of their lives.

The Rae Software

Banihal is an elite matchmaking service that uses a special algorithm to ensure matrimonial success with its software called Rae.

Using Rae, research tests are analyzed to improve the matchmaking process. Based on advanced artificial intelligence in the software, Rae will keep updating a user’s preferences as they make choices while operating their profile. Thus, the more the user interacts, the more the algorithm presents suitable matches.

Intricacies of the Platform

Once users sign in, they are asked specific questions relating to your choices, preferences, etc. Following this, a behavior test is taken on the basis of psychology that aims at knowing your personality and attitude in general.

Answers to these tests are then analyzed, following which the software puts forth your unrealized preferences and hidden traits. Based on these final results, Banihal will connect you to the best possible match to suit your personality and temperament.
