Nearfox Planning for Expansion
Mumbai-based startup NearFox has recently raised an unrevealed amount of funding led by CoverFox CTO Devendra Rane, Globevestor Angel Fund, Craftsvilla Product VP Arpan Nagdeve, GenY Medium Co-founder Ravi Jain, amid others. Established in the year 2015 by Kiran Patil and Pritesh Mittal the IIT Bombay alumni, NearFox allows users to explore and discover what is happening around in their city.
According to the press release, the startup will use the funds for commencing operations in more locations and for expanding its team. Following the six-fold augmentation in website traffic from the last six months moreover, NearFox recently claims to have over 2.5 lakh visits monthly which are completely organic, with no marketing spend.
Future Plans
NearFox is planning to be live in 10 locations by the mid-2017 and intends to commence in 200 cities across the globe over three years, by the expansion led by a broad blogger network and the sharp focus on the user-generated content.
