Rumors have their own place in media, some rumors bring out hidden truths while as most of them are baseless and completely fake. Likely, such a fake rumors about shutting down of Twitter in 2017 is in the air these days. However, it was not yet clear that how this rumor started. As per some tweets, these rumors originate from an angry Twitter user who complained regarding online hounding and Twitter’s poor management on such abuses.
Twitter’s Reaction to These Rumors
According to news sources, Twitter completely denied this rumor of it’s shut down in 2017. Twitter has been disparaged for its poor engagement in the police abusive conduct on the messaging service, and it has struggled to get the appropriate balance between free expressions and blocking of hateful or violent speech. Last month, Twitter suspended many users’ accounts permanently for harassment, including the account of Milo Yiannopoulos, Breitbart tech editor vowing to amplify efforts to prevent abusive behavior and block repeat reprobates from the social media site.
