A Y-Combinator backed company, SmartPath aspires to assist low-income people to manage their finances more effectively by allowing them to ensure they spend less than they earn. The mobile app of SmartPath is created to use in combination with either in-person or web-based seminars provided by their employers. The companies with which SmartPath works include Emory University, Verizon Wireless, and Delta Airlines.

Save Your Money the Better Way

To help employees save their money, the budget app of SmartPath makes it easy for them to track expenses and income. There is also text and video features in the app to show the money fundamentals and how to save it. SmartPath charges users from $1,500 to $2,500 a seminar per day. To access the app, SmartPath charges employee from $1 to $5-to-$6 per month. Employers can take benefit from a decrease in absenteeism, higher retention rates and higher contribution in retirement.

Future Plans of SmartPath

For future, the strategy of SmartPath is to keep its services as simple as possible. In addition, SmartPath will combine assessments to offer people a better idea of their savings and debt calculators.
