Bengaluru-based Dog Food Startup, Dogsee Chew, Takes To Angel Funding

Dog Lovers Invest In The Startup
Bengaluru-based dog food startup, Dogsee Chew, has raised an angel funding of INR 2 crore. The funding round was led by Delhi-based Renu Balyan, an angel investor and an avid dog lover. Jyotsna Bapat, the associate Professor at IIIT Bangalore, has also invested in the round.
Dogsee Chew’s USP
Simplify360 founder, Bhupendra Khanal, founded Dogsee Chew in 2015. The USP of their dog food is that, unlike other such products, it offers completely natural dog food that comes from Nepal and Darjeeling. This attracted investor Renu Balyan who, being a dog owner herself, was always on a lookout for such natural dog food products. After all, most of the currently available products come with synthetic flavours and added chemicals. Dogsee Chew’s offering uses Yak milk as one of the major ingredients, and it is 100% natural. This would come as a relief to all the dog lovers.
Their Work till Now
The startup is also involved in a lot of welfare activities for dogs. Its recent Bengaluru campaign, ‘Bengaluru Opts to Adopt’, was a success. Apart from this, the startup has a reach in 20 Indian states right now where their products are at offering.
Future Plans
Now Dogsee Chew aims to use their fresh funding for expansion in the product line and exports. It is also seeking business collaborations in the international market. Their new human-grade dog cookies will soon hit the shelves.
