Startup Creates a Smart Measuring Tape

Looking Like a Bagel!
About the World’s Most Intelligent Tape
California-based startup Bagel Labs comes out with a digital measuring tape that is capable of saving measurements, recording voice memos and sending data to its companion mobile app (available on Android and iOS) via bluetooth. Any measurement can be captured easily. The Bagel tape is a Kickstarter project. Currently, it is raising funds of $30,000.
There are three different modes of measuring distances – string, wheel and remote. Looking like a bagel, the device’s string mode measures length using the patented sensor technology. Likewise, the wheel mode can measure curved distances like walls and ceilings with one hand. The remote mode features a laser pointer that lets you to measure horizontal and vertical distances. It is probably the world’s most intelligent tape. Check out the below video to know how it works-

Serving the needs of today’s consumers, Bagel features ultrasonic sensor that computes the distance between the tape measure and the object being measured. The digital display then immediately displays the distance. Soohong Park is the CEO of Bagel Labs that aims to offer users an easier and smoother way to measure things including room dimensions, muscle gains etc.
The Bagel smart tape measure starts at $49 for the first 100 backers.
