Carpooling App Derbii Raises Angel Funding

Derbii allows its users to facilitate arrangements between people to make regular journeys using cabs.
Founded in 2015, Derbii is a carpooling app that lets its users to make arrangements between people to travel regularly in cabs in Delhi-NCR. The startup raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding from Anurag Chauhan, MD of Accenture and Arvind Modi, Director and CEO of Komli Developers. Gaurav Sinsinwar, Prasenjit Singh and Akash Chaudhary are the co-founded of this company, after working with Winwincab for almost 2 years. Currently, Derbii operates in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Noida and Ghaziabad. With these funds, the startup aims to strengthen its operating systems and technology that paves way to widen the user-base.
The app shares luxury AC cabs that pick and drop you on your desired destination. All you have to do is specify your regular route on the app, which will be automatically matched with people traveling to the same destination. This is very useful for people going to office that is located in the same locality as others traveling with you. The carpooling fare for users is Rs. 50 for journey till 5 kms and post that Rs. 3.5 per km. You need to subscribe on a monthly basis.
Derbii’s offers economical, comfortable and end-to-end commuting solutions. The Android version is available and iOS is soon to come. By the end of October 2016, it plans to bring minimum 5000 customers on board.
