Fresh to home is an Indian, Bangalore based online platform that delivers fresh seafood to houses. It describes itself as ‘India’s first e-commerce platform for fresh and non-toxic seafood. It is a company created with the efforts of veterans in the seafood industry and has in fact even tied up with fishermen for the seafood services they offer. They pride themselves on delivering fresh products directly from the sources to people’s homes.
This seafood company recently raised funds from a host of angel investors. Though the sum invested remains undisclosed, but the investors who showed interest in this e-platform are rather intriguing. They include the Vice President of Google, South East Asia and India, Rajan Anandan, Investor Pavan Ongle – among others.
This platform also seeks to connect the customers with the seafood farmers. It has also launched a one-day delivery operation in more than a hundred locations in Bangalore.
The CEO of Fresh to Home, Shan Kadavil said that this was not a Hyper Local but called the company Hyper Fresh, because they provide fresh foods to people’s houses directly connecting them to the sources. The company also insists upon the importance of consuming healthy, chemical free food in today’s day and age, and stresses on the importance of that when talking about its Fresh foods venture.
