Skyport bags $30 million from Alphabet and Cisco

Art Gilliland is currently the CEO of Skyport. Prior to joining Skyport, he was SVP and GM at Enterprise Security Products for HP. Art is no longer with HP, having left to join Skyport as CEO. Skyport offer effective security solutions for Enterprise. In recent funding the company bags $30 million. Funded by Alphabet and Cisco the company aims in offering hyper security solution for Enterprise applications. Cloud Computing has emerged a fruitful platform for Enterprise to operate and provide services. But the infrastructure too needs a multi-layered protection. Skyport offer products that offer a special network connection card.
A kind of security hardware that will security link the Enterprise server with the web. As per the CEO each application on the Enterprise cloud will be having its own security card. This will protect the data, block intrusion and keep the server security form various other threat. A kind of hardware assisted security layer with high end protection. Any connection that is not recognized or allowed by the enterprise server will be straightaway blocked.
Adding more light to the product, Art Gilliland explained a two way approach to the architecture. Either it is an intranet or internet, Skyport products aim to keep maximum protection. A few feature highly of Skyport products consist of Per-VM DMZ and Firewall. This prevent data exflitration and attacks. Also add a security layer against surveillance.
The product offer tailored security policy for Virtual Machines. Integrity verification does not allow any kind of virus or threat to get installed on the system. A dedicated Security I/O cpu add as a gatekeeper to assure that nothing is passed without security check rather depending on any other network security method.
