Alpha Startups 2016 to Support New Ventures

1337 Ventures which is an early stage investor, and accelerator has now expanded itself to the Indonesian market. It has launched a five day boot camp program ‘Alpha Startups Indonesia 2016’. This is happening in partnership with Baidu Indonesia, Convergence Ventures, and Gobi Partners.

Alpha Startups, as mentioned earlier will be a five day boot camp for idea validation, and helps the budding startups to come up with effective business models. The program will also give the opportunity to the young entrepreneurs to interact with the top investors, and take support and guidance from them. The event will be done in batches, with the first one on March 28, and the second in the month of August. The applications are already open. Three participants will receive mentorship, office and an investment of 25000 dollars. This will support the team during the acceleration phase. Companies will also get chances to win other credits and facilities.

Till today, Alpha Startups program has coached around 196 startups in Malaysia, Singapore, and Philippines. “There are a good portion [of business ideas] that have founders with strong potential, but haven’t started their company yet. We hope to channel these types of leads and people to the accelerator, so that we have a chance to accelerate their progress into a fundable business,” said Adrian Li, Managing Partner of Convergence Ventures. The organizers of the event are looking forward to get started the business ventures of all innovative entrepreneurs, who has the million dollar idea, but yet to materialize it.
