Indian Angel Network Funds Roadhouse: A Backpackers’ Hostel Start-Up from India

Indian Angel Network (IAN) is funding an undisclosed amount for the Goa-based startup Roadhouse Hostels as stated by the chief financial officer of Naukri Internet Services, Ambarish Raghuvanshi and Vikas Kathulia who are leading the Indian Angel Network. Roadhouse has already launched their two hostels at Goa and Jaipur and are planning to widen their enterprise to five more cities with the funds they received from IAN. Roadhouse is a backpackers’ hostel chain which originated as a joined venture of a groupof school friends in 2014 launching their first hostel in Goa in the same year. With the funds received from INA Roadhouse is planning to expand their business, build their brand and incorporate technology to aid their enterprise.
Support from the Investors
Lead IAN investor Raghuvanshi expressed his strong belief in the Roadhouse hostel as he points out the interest shown by the founders and the investors in this venture. He also stated that the mantra will be to create an organisational model to widen the business by instilling mushroom growth of the hostels and to provide a classy and constant service for the customers. He also commented the company’s growth by mentioning that when they primarily invested they had only started off with a single hostel at Goa, but now they have grown with another venture at Jaipur. He also did not forget to mention the passion and complementary skills possessed by its founder’s powerful enough to build a business networks with successful ventures.
