Nimble Raises 8.5 Million Dollars

Nimble Collective a startup that provides cloud based collaboration platform for animators has raised a funding of 8.5 million dollars from New Enterprise Associates. The startup was started with a large scale vision expecting to have a large customer base of about ten million animators who want to collate their work online. With new funds that have been raised, the investors will also be part of the advisory board from now. NEA partner Greg Papadopoulus will join the collective board of Nimble. Many other executives of animation industry will now be part of the advisory board of Nimble.
About the startup
Nimble was founded by Grignon who was also the founder of Character animation at DreamWorks Animation. The other founder of Nimble is Michael Howse who also worked as a tech executive at a reputed animation company. He was also the CEO of a startup called Bigfoot Networks which is a networking hardware company. The company was recently bought by Qualcomm. “The animation content market generates $90 billion annually, yet millions of talented animators simply do not have access to the expensive studio-quality technology tools and big budgets currently required to bring high-quality creative projects to fruition,” Howse said
Nimble provides a platform where designers can display, store and manage their creations in a much better way. This enables better developing, collaborating, and distributing their work. Their cloud software has high performing graphic systems. Animators can be at their creative best with the advanced tools and technologies Nimble provides in its cloud software.
