Xiaomi to Hit US Market by the End of 2017

China-based white phone startup Xiaomi who found great markets in the Asian as well as Latin American markets is trying to widen their business to the western hemisphere specially in the states. Hugo Barra, Xiaomi’s global vice president expressed his urgency in launching the phones in the western markets as soon as possible. Xiaomi is trying to establish to a market like U.S which has not yet encouraged Chinese smart phone enterprises as most of them struggled to anchor their business. Xiaomi is looking at replacing the U.S dependency for the Apple iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S phone. Barraalso expressed that they are planning to launch a phone fromits engineering perspectives as the U.S is one of hardest markets to enter. He also shared the statistics of the phones market in India as it sold over a millions of phones just in there.
Adversities Faced by Xiaomi in the US Market
One of the major problems Xiaomi is going to face would be the lawsuits from Apple iPhone as its design resembles so much with that of Xiaomi. Barra stated that “We are not worried about the potential issues involving intellectual property, hiring or licensing.” Along with focussing business on their current markets like China, Brazil and India, Xiaomi phones are slowly steering their way all the way up to the West.
