Xiaomi Joins the Smartwatch Bandwagon !
Why Should Xiaomi Remain Different?
Renowned Chinese electronics maker Xiaomi’s sub-brand Huami recently unveiled a GPS-enabled smartwatch called ‘Amazfit’ in China valued at $120. This circular-faced smartwatch is equipped with a 28nm GPS sensor that offers better location tracking and distance calculation for workouts as well as a heart rate sensor that keeps track of the user’s pace while performing different activities throughout the day.
Being the device fuelled by 200mAh battery, it lasts for about 11 days if it’s just tracking steps, 35 hours when GPS is turned on, and five days of regular usage. Amazfit is complemented with 4 GB internal memory.
The Huami Amazfit is scratch resistant since it comes with a ceramic bezel. It gets IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. Other features include a1.34-inch 300 x 300p display, a 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB storage, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and Wi-Fi.
Huami is the same startup that manufactured the Mi Band.
