Who are Marta and Bruno?

Now, Robots to Make Pizzas for You!

About Zume Pizza

Launched in June 2015, US- based startup, Zume Pizza brings robots to make delicious pizzas for you. It operates in Silicon Valley. This doesn’t mean humans are not appointed. Human employees are appointed to create the dough and do the toppings, while the robot employees spread the sauce and put pizzas in the oven to bake. Alex Garden is the co-founder and executive chairman of Zume. The startup had appointed ABB, Swiss robot maker to program its robots. Human and robot employees are separated by protective glass boxes in the kitchen.

Who are Marta and Bruno?

Zume-1

By now, you must have easily guessed it who is Marta. One of the two robots, Marta works tirelessly to spread marinara sauce on the uncooked pies. Marta looks like a giant spider that puts and spreads the sauce within two seconds. Isn’t that great? The sauce-loaded pizza base travels on the conveyer belt to human employees who add cheese and toppings. Then, the garnished pies are sent to Bruno, a 5- foot tall grey automaton who places the pies in an 850 degree oven. These fully cooked pizzas are delivered to customers in branded fiats.

Future Plans of Zume

Zume plans to launch its special, patented delivery trucks that make pizzas while they are on the go in this August.  These trucks are a boon to the hungry customers. Each truck features 56 ovens that can be turned on and off remotely.

Within a short period, Zume is expected to compete with big names like Pizza Hut and Dominos. No pizza makers have ever appointed a robot to make and bake pizzas. The concept of cooking pizzas in the truck is also out-of-the-box. Experience one-of-its-kind pizzas by Zume Pizza!
