A wearable to Help Couples Conceive

Changing the outdated trend of testing pregnancy!
How the Bracelet works?
Ava, an alum of TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield has come up with a wearable that helps woman to know the right time to conceive. It displays the fertile window of the user. This fertility tracker will look for the rise in estradiol levels that takes place before ovulation starts and the rise in progesterone levels, which indicates that ovulation is complete. A number of other factors such as urinary LH and estrogen-3-glucuronide (which are hormones), approximate body fat (bioimpedance), pulse rate, sleep, heart rate variability, movement, skin temperature, breathing rate, heat loss and the movement of blood from the capillaries to the tissues (perfusion) are also measured.

The bracelet has to be worn by a woman while she is sleeping and all the above data will be collected by it to predict the woman’s period of fertility. Tested at the University Hospital of Zurich, the bracelet has been accurate most of the times. A $2.6 million investment from Swisscom and ZKB will bring the wearable soon in the market.
Few More Benefits of the Tracker
This tracker has been approved by the FDA as a Class One medical device and its target group is women over 30 who have been unsuccessful in conceiving in the duration of a few months. It will expand their target group to women with fertility problems like PCOS — polycystic ovarian syndrome. The tracker has also interested women in their 20’s and 30’s who are concerned about their fertility. Not only resonating with the tech-savvy generation, this bracelet also helps to eliminate human error. You can now buy this tracker for $199.
