Voonik secures $20 million in Series B

About Voonik & its Series B round of funding
Bangalore-based online fashion app, Voonik is a personal shopping app for women that allows the users to buy apparels from multiple stores, according to their body type, lifestyle and budget.
Recently, Voonik raised $20 million (INR 133 Crore) in Series B round of funding, which was led by existing investor Sequoia Capital. Times Internet, SeedFund, Beenos, Beenext, Parkwood Bespin, Tancom Investments and FreeCharge founder Kunal Shah participated in the funding round. With this round, the investors gained confidence in the startup. The funds will be utilized strengthening all three product categories on its platform, which includes premium products category Vilara, men fashion offering Mr. Voonik, and its core women-focused vertical Voonik.
Launched in August 2014 by Sujayath Ali and Navaneetha Krishnan, Voonik makes a record of 10 million registered users and 8 million app downloads. Its recent activity includes the launch of Mr. Vooni and Vilara.
Voonik aims to enhance customer experience by strengthening its personalization engine. Moreover, it looks forward to scale up its new platforms. In past six months, the company has acquired five startups. Voonik plans to be a leader in the unbranded fashion segment by acquiring startups in niche fashion offerings.

Till date, Voonik has secured a total funding of $27 million, which includes $5 Million from Seedfund and Sequoia Capital in series A round.
