Veeqo, a Popular e-Commerce Acquires ParcelBright

Veeqo’s latest venture involves acquisition of ParcelBright.com, a delivery startup. Veeqo which is an inventory software specialist in e-commerce aims to create easier selling point by tying up with ParcelBright.
How ParcelBright started out?
Based in London, this parcel delivery startup was established in 2014 by Daniel Lipinsky and Carlos Vilhena, with an aim to make the process of parcel delivery more convenient and efficient. But in the beginning of this year, ParcelBright put an end to accepting parcels through their website, following certain changes to its parent firm CoFundlt Ltd. This was later followed by ParcelBright’s acquisition by Veeqo. As of now the ParcelBright team consists of eight members. Post a late round of seed funding, the firm succeeded in raising $ 1 million from investors like Forward Partners, Howzat Partners, Avonmore Developments and Talis Capital in the late 2014.
How it works?
ParcelBright came up with a unique operation method by designing a proprietary technology to keep in track of the API’s of multiple shipping companies though a single portal. The said technology is also capable of managing advanced invoicing and billing too. This makes parcel delivery much simpler and eliminates / reduces the possibility for errors. Veeqo was in search of a similar operational method to handle its undertakings and thus ended up merging with the startups.

Future Plans:
The co-founders of ParcelBright Lipinsky and Vilhena will not be giving up their positions as the expert advisors, and will continue to do so for Veeqo here on. They aim to push Veeqo to greater heights and to improve its market lead. CEO of Veeqo, Matt Warren spoke about how excited they are about this new venture. He pointed out how ParcelBright is a great company and how it will help Veeqo spread its wings wider. Warren also said that this acquisition will help their customers save money and time.
With ParcelBright by its side, Veeqo will become one of the biggest parcel delivery platforms in UK. Though there is plenty of competition in the market, a parcel consolidator that that is efficient and integrated with a single multichannel management provider is a first. Companies like Amazon and eBay are closely behind Veeqo, but lack the proprietary technology that makes Veeqo’s services much sought after.
The only question now is if this new move will make Veeqo a more attractive candidate when retailers are on the lookout for a shipping platform or if they will choose to stick to their
