US-based VC Firm finances Mumbai’s startup; SpectraVR
Funds Directed towards Expansion!
Tech startups have witnessed increasing investments over time. Investors are funding startups from anywhere, across the globe. Similar is the case with SpectraVR, a Mumbai-based virtual reality content studio. Recently, this startup raised an undisclosed amount in seed-funding. And, the startup’s investor is Rothenberg Ventures, a California-based technology centric venture capital firm. The reason for the investment is to help the startup with its expansion plans; reports say.
About the startup, Spectra VR
SpectraVR is the first virtual reality media production cum technology startup. Founded by a team of media and technology experts, SpectraVR engages in creating immersive 360 degree content.
Their products include Virtual Reality Production and 360 degree experiences. Using latest 360° camera techniques plus software capabilities, they create best 360 degree experiences. Being the first one in India to introduce such products, this startup operates in two Indian cities, namely Mumbai and Bangalore.
Having expertise in story telling, the startup prefers to combine their passion along withthe work they do. Hence, it focuses mainly on areas like sports, travel, food and music.Subsequently, they work closely with clients to build innovative 360 degree experiences. Future Plans
It is reported that the startup’s focus would be less on creating virtual reality headsets. But, it would focus more on enabling users to experience the same through their smartphones in order to make it more cost effective.
