Trying to Make Learning Better- KnowledgeXP Aims Big Despite Being A Start Up

Many education based startups are trying to come up with better learning strategies and delivery methods for more effective learning. KnowledgeXP is one among them, that is committed to making learning easier and more engaging for school students. Varun Kumar, former journalist of CNN IBN, and a graduate from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad has come up with this startup aiming to bring better learning practices for students. His focus is on promoting experiential education by making the content into activity based. Activities demand more engagement, and effective information retention. Understanding this, the startup has tied up with schools and conduct workshops and activities for the students.

Varun indeed has an interesting story to tell about KnowledgeXP. While working as a journalist he was moved by the immense difficulties and pressure faced by school authorities, teachers and students in handling the vast portions of syllabus. As part of his undertaking, he visited many schools, researched on various learning theories and practices, and came up with a solution, which was experiential learning. KnowledgeXP has a team of expert trainers, educationists and psychologists who are committed to the field of education.

Varun says the real need is the change of mindsets of people who still hold on to traditional methods of teaching. “Encouraged by the introduction of CCE, an evaluation mechanism that promotes holistic assessment rather than assessing students purely on the basis on their exam results, I believed that India was ready for experiential education and the rote system of learning could be replaced with holistic education,” says 29-year-old Varun.
