The Startup Mixtape

In Just One Day, the book surpasses its Kickstarter Goal

Okay, so you have a great idea for a startup and yet you are somehow stuck. There is no dearth of information available out there but so much information is equal to so much clutter. It’s all white noise! So then, how do you separate the needed info from the heap and how do you choose the best possible way of starting out your venture?

The Inspiration Behind the Book

Elliot Adams’ new book The Startup Mixtapeis all about the solution to this very problem. This book came into being when a few years ago, while talking to a couple of students, Elliot came to understand the gap between the available information and the needed information. He recounts that there were several books on general business advice, startup success stories, and intricate startup theories. But what lacked was a book about the whole journey of creating a high-growth tech startup. Basically what the students needed was a book that was direct in its approach and gave actionable information unlike other theoretical books. It had to tell what steps to take to succeed.

About Author Elliot Adams

Why is this book a necessary read?

This book is not about Elliot Adams’ philosophy on startups. It is rather about the knowledge that he has gained over the years by interacting with so many students and young entrepreneurs. In his interviews, the very first question he asks them is: “What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned about making a startup successful?” The book is not only informative but also the source of first-hand info from these entrepreneurs who will tell you about how to wash away the white noise of excessive information and focus on the right one. The founders who have contributed to this book include some of the very world leaders from Seedcamp, Shazam, 500 Startups, AppDirect, Blackbox, Autodesk, BranchOut and The Next Web.

Right now, Elliot Adams is running a Kickstarter campaign for the book and has already surpassed the goal of $5000 with a current total of $10,332.
