Startup Offers Electronics On Rent

If Apparels can be on rent, Why not electronics?
Try this new concept of buying electronics on rent
Grover is a perfect alternative for spending hundreds of dollars on a device that will soon be outdated. Every month, you can get home an upgraded version of your favorite electronic! Launched in 2015, Germany-based startup Grover allows you to rent electronics such as laptops, headphones, cameras, wearables, smartphones and IoT products at reasonable prices. Formerly, the startup was known by the name of ByeBuy.
How does it work?
Grover rents electronics for around 5% of the retail prices, which proves quite affordable for some people to spend. Moreover, the one-month timeframe can act as your trial period, if you are planning to buy some device. The rental experience can be extended up to a year, paying a monthly fee for holding the device you are using. Grover offers various packages for user subscription. When a user finds something they like and want to keep, you can earn credits by renting the product for a while. Grover gives a credit of 30 percent of the monthly payments toward purchasing the device permanently. For users who don’t keep a track of rentals, the startup itself ends the rental contract after 3 months after the sum of the rental is equal to the purchase price.
Grover is planning to expand in the US market.
