Startup Helps Men To Shop Their Favorite Celeb Apparel

Style like Your Favorite Celeb!

How Looklive works?

Most of the fashion apps are women-oriented. But, now, no more!

US-based startup Looklive helps men through its dedicated app to shop for clothing and fashion apparel inspired by the style of celebrities or other influencers in the fashion industry. After searching the web for celebrity photos, the startup uses data mining and image analysis to compare the photos to those from brands.

Looklive also houses an editorial team to bargain for the apparels, which users can then buy. Of course, not everybody can afford the expensive outfits worn by stars. Hence, the app tries to provide you the same outfit in a lower range or something similar. This new and unique app uses the well-advanced visual search technology to find items that you have clicked from a magazine or TV.

Looklive: App Meant for Men to Pick up

Looklive, which was formerly known as Curateurs.com, was founded by Cedric Rogers, Greg Selkoe, and Dr. Paul Judge. More focused on pop culture trends and entertainment, the startup is popular for acting as the fashion voice for young men.

As of now, Looklive is participating in Y Combinator, which invested $140,000 into the business along with Judge Ventures, run by Looklive’s co-founder. The round is a seed stage investment of under $1 million. However, the startup is expected to raise funds again after YC’s Demo Day.

Currently, Looklive has around 60,000 products and 10,000 images of celebrity fashion looks.

The Looklive app is a free download on iTunes. The Android version will be out in few weeks.
