World’s first super budget hotel on its way to India – A UK-Based Startup Chototel is just about prepared to bring a way out. It has planned to implement a Rs.100 per day hotel stay facility in Mumbai. It has started constructing 240 Room budget hotel in Nagothane (Mumbai) that can handle 1000 guest with uninterrupted services.

Online Fashion Portal Voonik Acquires Three Startups – Online fashion portal Voonik to gain three startups to develop its premium fashion product, Vilara. In the past six months, Voonik has successfully acquired five startups.
Nokia acquires Gainspeed – Nokia announced its plan to acquire Gainspeed. By joining hands with Gainspeed, Nokia has given itself a boost to Nokia Networks. With Gainspeed’s Virtual CCAP, Nokia can increase the capacity of their existing HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) infrastructure.

Ed-Tech Startup Cuemath Raises $4 Million – Founded in the year 2011 in Bengaluru, Cuemath is an Ed-tech startup that offers high-end after-school maths learning program for lower kindergarten to 8th grade students. Recently, it raises $4 million in Series A round of funding from Sequoia India and existing investor Unitus Seed Fund.
UK HR Startup hibob Raises Seed Funding – UK-based HR technology startup, hibob recently raised a handsome amount seed funding of $7.5 million from high-level investors like TransferWise co-founder Taavet Hinrikus, Saul and Robin Klein’s seed fund LocalGlobe, and Silicon Valley investment firm Bessemer Venture Partners.
Helpshift Raises funding of $23M from Microsoft & Salesforce – Helpshift offers an SDK to software companies for building a chat link between users of their mobile apps and their customer services. Helpshift has debuted the messaging-based approach to customer service, making real-time support easy for users, and streamlined for businesses.
P2P marketplace startup Listup raises $500K in Seed Funding – Listup, a Mumbai-based startup has recently raised $500K (INR 3.3 Cr) in its seed funding round, which was led by Kae Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm. With this round of funding, Sasha Mirchandani (CEO, Kae Capital) will soon be joining the board.
India to be backed by $3 billion Investment from Amazon – Recently, Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos announces that its online retail company will fund $3 billion to India as it competes with Snapdeal and Flipkart. The good news was declared in the presence of PM Narendra Modi at the US-India Business Council’s 41st Annual Leadership Summit in Washington DC. Apart from Bezos, other top business leaders were also present at the summit.
MadRat Games secures funding of $2.5 Million from Ratan Tata – MadRat Games , an ingenious startup that provides wearable gaming platform, SuperSuit for Kids and families has raised funding from Ratan Tata. Ola’s founder Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati, Flipkart’s founder Binny Bansal, and Girish Mathrubootham of Freshdesk participated in the funding. The amount invested by Tata still remains undisclosed.
BookMyShow’s $75m deal and Infibeam appoints new head for Rakuten – Ticket booking was never made easy until BookMyShow. Bigtree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, the owner of BookMyShow, is in talks with US-based Stripes Group to get funding of $75m.
Fashion discovery platform Shopwati raises seed funding – Gurgaon-based Prachalit Infomedia Pvt Ltd launched an online fashion community known as ‘Shopwati’. It has secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Sanjiv Raj of SRKK Advisors.
Fashion startup 6Degree raises $200,000 – Recently, IAN (Indian Angel Network) funded $200,000 to 6Degree, a fashion-tech startup. Launched in the year 2015 by co-founder and CEO Nikhil Hegde, 6Degree incorporates fashion with technology.
Amplitude, an analytic startup raises $15 Million – Amplitude is an analytic company which delivers powerful user behavior analytics platform for mobile and web. It helps companies achieve sustainable growth and retention with their analysis.

Zenta: Live Life Stress-free – To enhance your fitness regime, UK-based startup Vinaya brings Zenta, a $249 wearable device that is capable of giving you all features of a fitness tracker, along with emotion management.
Hiri: Organize and manage all your Emails Easily – Hiri is a perfect platform for those who require a lot more control over the emails. It is a single window compiled with to-do list UI, providing assistance in delegating mails to important receivers, to schedule an email and place the email in a to-do list for future reference.
FIXO: Multi-Face Clock with Smart Features – An Italy-based startup comes up with FIXO, a multi-face clock, or better known as a round pc. It can control smart devices, play music, show appointments, weather updates, etc. Just weighing around 500 grams, it is powered by Intel Atom Quad Core 64-bit cpu with integrated stereo speakers and microphone. It also has WiFi, Bluetooth and a HD camera.
