Renewable Energy Startup“Seatrec” Will Be Raising $1M on Propel(x) platform

Seatrec is now raising $1 million funding with the help of Propel(x)’s platform. Breakout Labs and Schmidt Marine Technology Partners are among the investors who participated. Seatrec, a California-based renewable energy startup produces unique solutions for electricity with the help of temperature differences in environment.
Seatrec was founded by NASA Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL) and California Institute of Technology under Dr. Yi Chao, CEO and Founder of Seatrec, as a spinoff. Dr. Chao believes that this technology is a great opportunity to create power from any temperature differences whether in oceans or land. Their renewable energy solution has limitless capacity, no battery-related wastage problems, few deployments and operations cost age when compared to traditional batteries.
