People Over Profit Plans to Raise Funds of $7.3 Million

Long way to fly!
UK- based Startup, People Over Profit (POP) plans to raise funds of $7.3 Million in early June to initiate and operate low- cost, long haul economic flights from London to Ahmedabad and Amritsar with the help of chartered Airbus A330-300. The three-weekly flight to Amritsar will be followed by the route to Ahmedabad. There are no direct flights from UK to Amritsar or Ahmedabad. Hence, People Over Profit will soon set its foot in flying to and fro from UK to these Indian cities.
The UK-India air services agreement allows seven scheduled services per week on any route between the UK and India, apart from Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Navdip Singh Judge is the Chairman and Principal of POP.
POP plans to launch direct flights from London Stansted to India by October 2016 and drive more than half (51%) of its profits to passenger-nominated social projects in UK and India. The airline is mainly Gujaratis and Punjabis, who make up to 1.3 million people in UK. It is a natural tendency that Gujaratis and Punjabis are looking for direct flights to their home states. The tickets price ranges from 35,000 to 50,000, which includes snacks, tea and water. The charges for meals are Rs. 1000 for both, Gujarati and as well as Punjabi thaalis.
