Paytm Introduces Same Day Delivery in 20 Cities

Paytm’s New Feature

One of the largest e-commerce platforms in the world, Paytm has lately introduced the same day delivery offer on larger appliances and mobiles across 20 cities in India.  According to the press release of the company, it is now focusing on local commerce opportunities and trying to add more varieties in their categories.

Role of Paytm

Paytm helps the seller by training them on managing costumer expectations and experience since they provide delivery and installation services. The platform consists of more than 1.2 lakh sellers and 3000 large shipping appliances locally, over Rs. 20 crore worth of orders are shipped on the same day in a month and it’s planning to add 10,000 more sellers in 50 top cities to spread the reach of O2O commerce further. It aims to spread the O2O commerce reach.

Moreover, Paytm allows consumers to check whether products are available from nearby sellers who can ship and service the orders. The consumers have to pay a nominal amount to avail the same day shipping and installation services.

Recently, Paytm announced a strategic partnership with Suzuki Motorcycle India. In this deal, Paytm will provide financing to buyers of Suzuki bikes. It has plans to start its payments banking operation in the country by August this year.

“Paytm is the pioneer of O2O and with same day delivery and installation managed by sellers being added to the arsenal we are able to cover a critical category of large appliances which cannot be shipped by traditional warehousing models.”
