OYO Teams Up With WhatsApp For Business Solutions

Consumers can utilize WhatsApp for booking details

OYO, the budget hotel chain has teamed up with WhatsApp for business solutions in an attempt to provide stress-free communication and booking experience for its customers. Travelers will have the option to receive their booking confirmations along with the cancellations and navigations for locating hotels via WhatsApp. The startup is already in the process of testing the feature to book an OYO room via WhatsApp.

Currently, users can book any hotel across 230 cities of various countries India, Malaysia and Nepal within seconds via the OYO app. With this tech development, as soon as booking is done, the OYO app will be able to confirm it via WhatsApp.

Anyone who books the room will receive message via OYO’s verified profile so that it is reliable. If there exists any connectivity issue, OYO will notify via SMS too. Any user who does not use WhatsApp will receive notifications through SMS and email.

The company is also taking into consideration their customers’ privacy and security; only relevant information will be sent to the guest on WhatsApp. The customers will also receive directions for locating the place, check-in as well as a notification if the booking is cancelled.

Anil Goel, believes that with this WhatsApp integration, they are trying to make post- booking experiences easy and convenient for their guests.  He said that technology has always been greatest factor for OYO as they have built OYO consumer app, Krypton, and owner app for their hotel partners. The startup owns around 8,500 hotels across 230 cities.
