What is OAK?

ToneTree has now introduced OAK- Augmented Reality (AR)playground system. It is a dock for your iPhone that lets turn any tabletop into AR play space. The device combines both digital and physical toys for creating an AR experience. It is also said that by 2020 augmented reality will be $90 billion market value. It works very easily all you have to do is place iPhone on the Oak Dock, launch the app and use Oak Kit and start playing. It comes with various kits that let you play drums, fly through space, or create your own app.

What does it do?

Rockstar Kit helps you play any instrument anywhere all you have to do place the pads down in front of Oak and it can turn into jam session.  The gamer kits let you play battle and with Explorer kit helps fly our own spaceship. With Developer Kit one can create augmented reality apps.

About ToneTree

The creators were also in an accelerator program which was led by Intel Education. The company was founded by team of three self-described nerds – Brian Cook, CEO, Ronald Sardarian, chief technology officer; and Max Escaler, chief marketing officer. They are from different countries and met at Rensselær Polytechnic Institute (RPI). The company has started campaign at Kickstarter and will ship their products in August 2017.
