SkySafe, a California based startup has raised $3 million in seed funding led by Andreessen Horowitz.

We have witnessed amazing cinematography and photography, thanks to our amazing invention, drones! But it has now become a tool to invade others privacy. It gets annoying to see a rogue drone wandering over your head. SkySafe aims to stop this by offering it’s supercool app, that can land any drone safely to the ground in case you do not wish it to capture your images. This startup offers a smart phone or tablet based app which helps you in tracking down any flying drone.

Till date there is no effective tool available to stop a drone, as it is controlled manually by someone else. Presently drone is one of the most trending gadgets used for commercial as well as recreational purposes. But some people cross this line and infiltrate into others’ zone to capture pictures or video. As there are no rules set on the usage of drones and no way to track where and how it was used, the number of rogue drones will soon rise.

This might cause disturbances in many crucial spaces like airports or highways, causing major accidents. To avoid such mishap, SkySafe plans to provide its user a safe space. So how does it work? It simply tracks the drone using radio waves and then overrides the control to safely land it or crash it.
