Noria: A Portable Window AC to beat the heat

AC on the Go!

Window AC requires an organized setup to function properly. It has a high maintenance cost as well as takes a good amount of space in the room. A group of engineers and designers are working on unique portable movable window AC, showcased on Kickstarter by a US startup, Noria Home. Noria can be counted as the first portable AC that can fit on any window and having an app based control. It is silent, easy to use and can be put back when not required. Noria is designed to adjust in various window panels with minor adjustment. Moreover, it does not require any extra tubes to manage the air flow.

As you can see in above video, Noria has a smart design. It also has a dedicated Smartphone app that allows users to control the AC settings and schedule its operations. The app based connectivity helps the end users to control a bunch of settings without using the remote. You can connect the AC with your Smartphone through Bluetooth. Enable the automated energy saving profile to save power consumption.

Noria features R410a refrigerant that makes it an environmental friendly AC. Once positioned at the right plACe, it can cool the area of about 160 square feet.  Only requirement for setting up Noria is to have a wide opening of 21″ to 36″ on the window panel. It does not require permanent fittings. All you need is to set the AC on the window panel with proper enclosure. It is Ideal for all type of apartments.

Takeaways:

  • Noria is a 6 inch portable AC that fits on your window panel of any size to keep the house cool.
  • It does not require any permanent fitting. When not required, users can remove it and keep it aside.
  • Noria can be controlled through a remote or a Smartphone app via Bluetooth.
