Nike Launches the ‘Microclimate Chair’

‘Microclimate Chair’ is developed by Nike for athletes. Nike aims to inspire every athlete in the world by innovating sports products that fulfil their needs.
One of the top notch companies specializing in sports products, Nike collaborated with Greg Lynn, a Los Angeles-based architect Greg Lynn to develop ‘Microclimate Chair’ that was exhibited in Nature of Motion, Milan’s latest Design Week event. It is a chair that helps athletes recover and relax during their game breaks.
Featuring a flexible carbon tape, rigid carbon weave and around 70 thermoelectric pads, the chair heats or cools an athlete’s body that pulls them out from the physical stress after heavy exercises. The chair works as per the information received from its in-built sensors. Also, it distributes and diffuses the air across its surface to decrease humidity around an athlete. This ensures that he/she remains fresh and is all set for replay within no time.
Greg Jenn has no plans of marketing it. He is quite confident that when sports teams get to hear about it, investment will be on its way. The main idea behind inventing this chair is to avoid injury by cooling the athlete’s lower body while keeping the upper body warm post rigourous performance. He eagerly wanted to contribute in the world of furniture and ergonomics by creating an innovative product.
Using the Microclimate chair by Nike, the performer can get an advantage over the competitor.
