Launched in 2015, Craves is the new fashion app that helps you to find out what the celebs are wearing. So, you can replicate the way they dress by looking for similar clothes on the app itself. No more you need to browse the internet to see what celebs are wearing. Observing your much-loved celebrity’s style is just a tap away!
About Craves
This new and unique app uses the well-advanced visual search technology to identify clothing and accessories. It also guides you on where you can buy those same or similar products, but in a more cost-effective range. Of course, not everybody can afford the high-end products that stars are decking up. Hence, you can opt for the “Find Similar” feature, which is less expensive than the same product.
Earlier, Craves was a tool to find fashion by analyzing images from your smartphone’s gallery. Craves has adopted the visual search technology from its parent company Slyce. When the app was fresh in the market, it had 35 celebs listed in the app that includes Kendall Jenner, Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Demi Lovato, and Taylor Swift. Scott Cormier is the co-founder of Craves.
How does it work?
You can either browse through its feed of celebs and Hollywood A-listers. Another way is to simply click a picture of a magazine image/ screenshot from Instagram/ snap from television and then post it on Craves for suggestions. You can follow your favorite celebrity profile and receive notification when the star posts its new outfit and accessory. Moreover, the app allows you to peek inside the celeb’s virtual closet. Not only stars, but also you can follow your favorite brands, stores, and friends.
On Craves, many celebs, brands, and stores are minting money by the transactions that take place from their profile.
