Testing Pregnancy is so easy now!
About Natural Cycles
Founded in June 2013 by physicist couple Dr. Elina Berglund and Dr. Raoul Scherwitzl, European startup Natural Cycles is a subscription-based app that lets users track fertility by analyzing women’s body temperature. With this, you will come to know your ovulating and fertile period. Basically, Natural Cycles is a female health-oriented startup that offers fertility tracking service.
How it works?
The app works on the updated women’s body temperature. You can measure the body temperature using a thermometer and manually post it on the app. Science says that the women’s body temperature rises after ovulation. As per your ovulation period, the app will estimate your fertile window. However, many factors can affect the body temperature. Red or green color code system indicates that there are chances of pregnancy.
Natural Cycles Funding Round & Future Plans
Recently, Natural Cycles raises $6 million in Series A round of funding led by Swedish venture fund Bonnier Growth Media. Existing investors like Sunstone and E-ventures also participated in the round. The reason for securing funds is to convince more women to stop the consumption of contraceptive pill. It supports natural contraception by giving you the time frame where you can risk unprotected sex. In today’s time, apps have come out to help you in your personal life and Natural Cycles is one of them. The funds will be utilized in conducting an intensive research to boost the app. Till now, the app has done wonders in curbing the contraception percentage of Sweden, its home market. With the new funds, Natural Cycles would expand its team and extend its services to US market soon.
